Stan Gale
Chairman and managing Partner

Chairman and Managing Partner, spearheads the company's strategic direction, long-term planning, joint ventures and financial partnerships. Mr. Gale began his career in commercial real estate in 1975 with Grubb & Ellis. In 1985 he formed The Gale Company with the goal of creating a diversified real estate investment and services organization and has led The Gale Company, and ultimately Gale International, to a position of prominence as one of the largest commercial development firms in the United States. His entrepreneurial leadership has guided his family of companies from residential real estate, through commercial construction, management and leasing, to the current focus on city-scale international investment and development.

Ceo and managing partner

CEO and Managing Partner, opened the Boston office in January 1999 and has since been a driving force in Gale International's aggressive expansion both domestically and in Asia. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Hynes spent ten years as a broker with the Codman Company and RM Bradley & Co. and ten years as the local development partner with Lincoln Property Company. During that time he participated in more than three hundred leasing and sales transactions in the Boston market totaling over six million square feet and developed three office projects totaling two million square feet with an aggregate value in excess of one billion dollars.

Global managing director

Global Managing Director of Gale International, oversees all construction, financing and public relations related to the building of company projects. An expert in the field of international business financing and foreign investment, Mr. Yuh became involved with the Songdo project in 2004 when he first served as general counsel. He previously worked in the New York office of Kelley Drye & Warren, one of the oldest law firms in the United States, attaining the position of partner. During Mr. Yuh's tenure there, he specialized in international finance, mergers and acquisitions, international mediation, and international investments.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gale International Korea, having joined the company in 2008.  Mr. Kim received his bachelor's degree in Korean history from Seoul National University and began his career at Kukje Corporation in 1979.  In 1982, Mr. Kim joined Shinhan Bank, part of Shinhan Financial Group, where, for the next three decades, he quickly rose up the ranks.  He eventually attained the position of Deputy President of Shinhan Bank, serving in this capacity from 2004 to 2007.

Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, is responsible for international and domestic project financing, investments, business planning and strategy. Mr. Thorpe also leads the company's U.S. West Coast investments and operations. He has been affiliated with Gale International, formerly The Gale Company, since its inception in 1985 and drove the successful development of the company's initial portfolio of office, retail and industrial properties in the New York/New Jersey area. Previously, Mr. Thorpe worked in the Los Angeles Real Estate Investments Office of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, where he was responsible for joint venture, mortgage and purchase investments in commercial real estate properties.

Charles Reid
Executive Vice President of Design and Construction

Executive Vice President of Design and Construction, directs the design and construction of all Gale International development projects around the world. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Reid spent 18 years with Tishman Speyer Properties, becoming partner, and has served as project manager and senior associate with a major architectural and engineering firm involved in major U.S. and international projects.

 

CHris Sausser
Executive Vice President of Investments and leasing

Executive Vice President of Investments and Leasing for Gale International Korea, oversees all leasing and joint development activity for the 40 million square feet of planned commercial space for Songdo International Business District. Prior to joining Gale International, Mr. Sausser was a partner in the firm CRESA Partners (formerly The Staubach Company) working on projects ranging from complex lease buyouts and lease renewals to acquisitions for corporate headquarters. Prior to joining The Staubach Company, Mr. Sausser served as Regional Director for the Corporate Services Group at Grubb & Ellis.

Hean Chang henry Sim
Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer

Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of Gale International Korea.   In this role, Mr. Sim oversees all public relations and governmental affairs relating to Songdo International Business District.  Mr. Sim is a graduate of the political science department at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and received his master's degree from Seoul National University.   Having begun his career in the central government's Ministry of Justice, Mr. Sim served in various capacities in the Incheon metropolitan government, most recently in 2003 when he was appointed Director of Logistics and IT for the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA).

David Moore
Executive Vice President of Project Management

Executive Vice President of Project Management of Gale International Korea.  Mr. Moore has worked for Gale International Korea on Songdo International Business District since 2004, overseeing all projects in Songdo IBD.  Prior to joining Gale International Korea, Mr. Moore spent eight years at HammiParsons Co., LTD., including six years as Senior Vice President, where he was responsible for business development and international clients.  Mr. Moore also spent eleven years at Trafalgar House working in project management, business development and construction.  Mr. Moore has a bachelor's degree from Westminster University in London.

Carl SeaholM
Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning

Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning, is responsible for identifying and developing partnerships and other strategic relationships for Gale International's US $35 billion Songdo International Business District. Mr. Seaholm is the founding Executive Director of Gale's International Advisory Board and also sits on Gale's LEED steering committee. Previously Mr. Seaholm opened up the Canadian market for Workstage, a joint venture between The Gale Company and Steelcase, and served as Gale's first Managing Director of International Operations.

Tom Murcott
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, provides oversight for all corporate and project communications programs. Most recently, Mr. Murcott was a founding partner of Renegade, a New York City-based, integrated marketing services firm. With 25 years of international marketing experience, Mr. Murcott has helped an impressive list of companies create groundbreaking and measurably effective marketing, PR and branding campaigns, including Fortune 500 multinational brands such as Bristol Myers-Squibb, Canon, Casio, Citibank, General Mills, HSBC, IBM, Matsushita, Merrill Lynch, and Nike. Prior to Renegade, Mr. Murcott spent 10 years at Grey Advertising, working on a variety of blue-chip assignments.

Beom-Young Lee
Executive Vice President of Finance 

Executive Vice President of Finance at Gale International Korea.  Prior to his time at Gale International, Mr. Lee served at various posts of POSCO E&C, where he was the general manager of the Overseas Business Division.  Mr. Lee also spent six years at Posilama E&C, POSCO E&C's Vietnamese subsidiary, as General Manager of the Finance and Management Department.  Previous to his time at POSCO, Mr. Lee was the Deputy Manager of the Accounting and Tax Department of Kosung Co., LTD and he also spent eight years at Kukdong Oil Refinery.  Mr. Lee has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kyung-Hee University.
