The Sheraton Incheon Hotel will open Aug. 1 in Songdo City, one of the three designated free economic zones in Incheon.

It is the long-awaited second Sheraton hotel to open in Korea -- almost three decades after the first. It is also the first international deluxe five-star hotel to open in Songdo.

The Sheraton Incheon has been built utilizing eco-friendly methods and is the first fully non-smoking, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rated hotel in Korea.

"We are extremely excited to introduce this brand new Sheraton hotel in the heart of the Incheon Free Economic Zone" said general manager Alain Rigodin.

"Songdo, once a quiet island, is designed to be the world`s most beautiful, functional and environmentally friendly city. The Sheraton Incheon offers deluxe facilities and services to welcome business executive in a warm, eco-friendly and completely smoke-free environment." Alain said.

The Sheraton is introducing the "Link@Sheraton" service for the first time in Korea. Situated at the hotel`s lobby, "The Link" will serve as a community where guests will be able to socialize, work or simply relax with internet and printer access.

The hotel`s fitness facility will operate 24 hours a day and offer themed workout programs designed by Core Performance, a provider of personalized training and nutrition.

The hotel is just 20 minutes from Incheon International Airport via the new Incheon Bridge, which will open in October.

It is also close to major business, cultural and leisure facilities such as Northeast Asia Trade Tower, Ecotarium Museum and International School of the city. The new Songdo Conventia, as well as the Central Park, are adjacent to the hotel.

The 319 non-smoking guest rooms offer signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed with plush mattress, cozy duvet and Sheraton coffee maker. Each room features a high ceiling and large windows with a 32-inch LCD television, a spacious desk and high-speed WIFI and broadband access.

The Club Lounge, located on the 22nd floor, is already famous for its spectacular semi-panoramic view of Central Park, the West Sea and the world`s 5th longest bridge, Incheon Bridge.

There are four restaurants and two bars, including all-day dining FEAST, Chinese restaurant YUE and authentic Italian BENE, as well as Japanese, MIYABI.

In celebration of the grand opening, the hotel offers a special opening package from Aug. 1 until the end of October. Visit www.sheraton.com/incheon for more information.
