Chermayeff, Sollogub & Poole, Inc.
Ecotarium Joint Venture Partner
The firm was founded in 1998 by Peter Chermayeff, Peter Sollogub and Bobby Poole, to continue the work that the three had been doing together since the 1970's at Cambridge Seven Associates, a firm that Peter Chermayeff had founded in 1962 with six others as a multi-disciplinary design practice. The work at the previous firm had ranged across the disciplines of urban planning, architecture and exhibit design and had included such projects as the modernization of Boston's urban transportation system, the United States Exhibition at Expo '67, hotels, offices, retail, museums, housing and university buildings. Early on, Chermayeff became interested in a specialized niche, aquarium design. In their continuing work together, Chermayeff, Sollogub & Poole (CSP) design aquariums as a specialty and also address other building types and mixed use in a problem solving process of design, providing clients with fresh solutions to problems and cost effective response to program, context and schedule.
CSP is the International Architect of the New Songdo City Ecotarium.
